The accused

Ike asked Theo to tell him everything that happened at school with the fight. Theo told him every little detail and he told him that he got suspended. Ike told Theo to take pride in his suspension and wear it like a badge. Ike asked Theo if he knew any suspects that it could possibly be doing this to him. Theo told him that him and his parents had, had his conversation. he couldn't think of anyone at all. Theo could tell Ike was brainstorming. Ike agreed with Theo's dad that it was someone within the school, not a complete stranger because someone would have noticed them. Ike thought of something and told Theo, he explained to him that his mother was a divorce lawyer and that most of the time she sides with the women. What if a classmate of Theo's wanted to be with the dad and Theo's mother upset them in some way. Theo was very surprised at this idea but he wasn't disagreeing. They went through a list of people that have been though court most recently and they eliminated a lot of people. They wanted to see which cases were the worst most intense cases but they had no way of telling thta. Ike suggested Theo to get on to his mother's computer to look at the files. This was very illegal but Ike told Theo, maybe he has to do something bad, to get something good. Theo agreed to get the password.

The accused

Theo actually missed school and was so sick of court. Theo got a call from his uncle Ike. His uncle was a former lawyer and he got in a dispute, he is no longer a lawyer but he still has some good lawyer friends. Theo got to Ike's apartment without being stopped by a cop which is good for the way things have been going for Theo, he was really curious as to why he wasn't a lawyer anymore, so he asked. Theo was nervous to ask his uncle Ike as any young boy would be because he didn't know what the answer was going to be. Ike explained to Theo that he got in trouble with the law, and the police found out. This scared Theo a lot. He couldn't help but think of himself, never becoming a lawyer, going to jail, all because he was proven guilty. Theo told Ike his concerns and asked if he actually did it or if he was just at the wrong place at the wrong time like Theo. Ike reassured him that he got what he deserved and he wasn't going to let that happen to his little nephew, because Theo was telling the truth.

The Accused

As the police were explaining what rooms they were going to search and they they were even going to search the attic, Theo kept saying he had nothing to hide and they were wasting their time with all of this. Mr. Boone had to tell Theo to stop because they police were starting to get a little annoyed. Theo had cleaned his room earlier that day so he knew it was not a mess. The police checked his room and there was nothing, just like what Theo had told them would happen. Once they finished searching the den, Mr. Boone tried to watch TV and act like he was not nervous. They checked the basement, Still nothing. They were headed out to the garage and Theo was most nervous about that because he realized how easy it would be for someone to hide loot out there and then make Theo look even more guilty. They finished the search still finding nothing. Theo was up in his room and his mother asked if he was okay but he was not. Theo's mother reassured him that her and his father would be there for him and support him all the way. Since Theo did not have school the next day, they went out for pizza.

The accused

When Theo left the animal court, for a few minuets he wasn't thinking about how horrible that he had it and he was thinking about the spitting llama. It wasn't shortly after that h was right back to thinking about how horrible things were going for him. He got so worked up mentally on his way home that he had to take a break on a bench on the side of the road. It kept getting closer and closer to 5 o'clock and Theo was getting so nervous for the cops to come and search his house. When the Boone's got home, the police were waiting for them there. The police had planned on searching Theo's room first, then the garage, the basement, and then the attic. Mr. Boone did not see why it was necessary to search every room. Theo explained that he had nothing to hide and there was nothing that they would find.

the accused

April had text Theo and she asked him what he was doing. April needed his help with her friend. One girl had a llama and this man was taking her to court. Theo did not have much time and didn't really want to help out with this case, but he did anyway. He quickly rode his bike down there in hope it would not take very long.This man was a security guard at the place and the guy was having some issues with her llama. The llama roams free at her flower shop. The officer was doing his job, walking by the booth when he got spit on by the llama. He said the first time he let it go but then it happened again. One time he even got chased by the llama. He says that this llama should have to be in a cage or tied up somewhere. The client disagrees. She said that her llama is very well kept and is a very friendly animal. The kids that go here love him and they always pet him and take pictures with him. The pet owner thinks that her llama feels threatened by the officer in some was and this is why she is acting this way. The officer still wants her tied up but Theo confirmed it is not a town law to do this so the officer lost the case.

the accused

Once the police left, Theo could finally relax. He told his parents over and over again that they had absolutely nothing to worry about. His parents decided to seek help or advice from one of their lawyer friends. Theo went back to school and when he got there, oddly enough, he apologized to the principal for the fight. He was sad about the suspension, but both him and his parents agreed it was the right punishment. Theo kept thinking about one of his neighbors that spent eighteen months in juvenile. He couldn't help but think of himself in jail. He was nothing like the people in jail or his neighbor spike. Spike and other prisoners were tough and on the edge about everything. Theo was nothing like this. Theo was a nice sweet by, he was shy and he was super nice to everyone. The and judge were sitting in his office thinking about every possible thing that could go wrong with the police, when all the sudden he got a text from April, his best friend.

the accused

The police said it was getting hard to believe that Theo wasn't the thief. They said that it was very suspicious that Theo didn't report that someone broke into his locker and stole those things until after the gadgets were found in his locker. They think that after the gadgets were found in his locker, he made up that the day before someone had broke into his locker. They were unable to find any prints on anything. Theo's parents were shocked that the officers didn't believe Theo. They didn't agree that they didn't believe Theo but they said they were "still investigating." Mr. Boone asked if they were going to charge Theo. They were still undecided about this question. All three of the Boone's were in disbelief. Before they could say anything, the police butted in saying they wanted to search the house. Theo's parents were confused as to why they wanted to search the house. They wanted to do this so that they could find any evidence, or possibly the rest of the stolen goods. Theo's parents were very opposed to this and they said the police did not have their consent to search the house. The bad part is, the police didn't need their consent because they had already gotten a search warrant. Theo began to cry.

The accused

The was sitting at the table eating his lunch when his parents asked Theo what he had learned from the fight. Theo told his mom that there was nothing that he could of done about it and when Griff jumped on he felt like he had to. Theo's mother was a little upset by this but suddenly they were interrupted. Elsa walks in and told then that the police would like to talk to Theo and his parents. The detectives asked Theo to explain the baseball cap that was stolen from his locker before the break in at Big Mac's happened. He told them that it was navy blue with a red bill and a Twins logo in the middle. It was also made by Nike. he told the detectives that his initials T.B. were written on the inside. All of the sudden the detectives took the cap out of the plastic bag and slid it across the table. They explained that it had been found underneath the table when they were sweeping at Big Mac's. The police said that when the thief was stealing the electronics, they quickly scrambled out of there losing their hat. When this happened Theo just stared at it and didn't know what to think. He wanted to cry. Sarcastically, the police asked him to try to worm himself out of this one. Theo's dad jumped in saying that the thief must have been very clever.

The accused

Theo heard his door knock and it was Elsa. She had come to ask Theo what had happened and tell him that she was sorry.She came in and she was all teary eyed. Theo was almost annoyed by this. He told her that it was his fault that he broke the rules and he just wanted her to leave. Once she left, a few min later, Mr. Boone's secretary came down for the same reason. Theo was again annoyed. He had to explain again that it didn't matter who was at fault. He broke the rules and was simple as that. His phone buzzed and it was April. She had heard what happened and she was asking if he was okay. He told her he was fine. She asked if there was any blood or if he had a busted lip. He said that there was even tho there wasn't. He wanted to make the story a little more interesting if everyone was going to talk about it. he had another knock on his door. It was Vince. Vince was one of Mrs. Boone's clients for a long time now. Theo knew him pretty well. Unlike the two girls, Vince came in smiling and he seemed almost porud of him. He said "way to go Theo! Did you pop him one?" He told Theo that one suspension was nothing to worry about as long as he didn't make it a habit. Vince told Theo about a fight he had been in, in high school and how he was suspended for a week. Unlike the girls visits, Theo was glad that he had came in. Theo told Vince about how he was nervous that his mother would yell at him. Vince comforted him and told him that he knew his mother very well and she would not yell.

The accused

Theo's dad picked him up from school that day. They didn't even bother to pick up his bike. His father said they would get it later. for several blocks its was complete silence. Finally Mr. Boone asked what had happened. Theo told him ever little detail. Second by second what had happened. When Theo finished his dad said that, those were the rules and he broke them. Theo explained that he knew that but at the time he had no choice. Surprisingly, Theo's father responded with "that's the way i see it too." Theo went to his office and sat in the dark. He knew his mother would be getting out of court soon and he was not the least bit excited about it. He knew his mother would be so upset and she wouldn't believe that her son got suspended from school. Theo was a little embarrassed himself but he was also worried that his parents would be more embarrassed than he was. On the other hand, Theo took pride in the fact that he had helped one of the toughest guys in school, fight someone making fun of Theo and he couldn't help but smile.

The accused

Just a few moments after Baxter said that, a fight broke out. No one messes with Woody, he has 2 older brothers who were both on the wrestling team. Woody was often used as the dummy. When Baxter was calling Theo names, Woody quickly responded with "shut up!" They started to fight and Baxter, being the tough guy that he was, didn't back down. Baxter's sidekick was Griff. Griff was a tiny boy who wasn't very strong. He joined the fight. Theo hated to see Woody fighting all becuase of Theo. Theo knew the punishment but decided to jump in on the fight anyway. Mr. Mount broke it up and sent them to the office. When they got there they were sitting in the office and the principal hadn't got there yet. Mr. Mount was a teenage boy once so he kind of understood. The punishment for fighting was not good. It usually ended up in suspension, and a file on your record saying you were fighting. The principal came in and was not happy. The boys had agreed to not say anything or throw anybody under the buss. She asked the boys what had happened. They said nothing. She asked who had started it. Nothing was said from the boys. She told them if no one was to fess up they would all be getting into trouble. She asked if Baxter had said something offensive to Theo which made Woody react by starting a fight and Griff and Theo just joined in. That was 100% correct but none of the boys said a thing. She then decided to take the boys one by one and ask them individually, in hope someone would crack under pressure. If anyone was to give in it would be Griff. Theo was the first in and told her nothing. She asked again if Baxter had said something offensive and Woody was defending Theo but Theo refused to tell her anything. The principal asked all the boys the same thing, but surprisingly no one gave her any information. She brought them all back in together and she suspended them akll, and the fight would go onto their school record forever. Theo hadf no idea what he was going to tell his parents.

The accused

At dinner, Theo's father asked him many questions about who it could possibly be that is out to get Theo. Theo's father narrowed it down to a student, a boy student. They tried to think of people who have ever been mad at Theo for anything but they couldn't think of anyone, Theo was a pretty nice kid. Theo woke up the next morning, he had a crazy nightmare. He was telling his mother how he had ran away and he had met Pete Duffey and he told him to get in the car, the police were chasing after them. They got to the bridge and Pete jumped. Theo was getting guns pointed at him and finally he jumped. As he was flying through the air, he woke up, scarred. His mother told him it was nothing to be scared about. When Theo went to school, kids were looking at him funny, calling him names. April was there to defend him, but the kids still thought it was funnt to call names and make fun of him. The group of seventh graders came in and Baxter, the cocky leader of the gang, gave Theo a new nickname, Theo the thief. Woody, Theo's best friend, Hear this and was not very happy.

the accused

            Theo Finished diner quick and ran upstairs to check his email. His mother didn't know what was going on and his father was still in his own world. Theo opened the email and it was a picture of him and his parents and Ike walking out of the police station. The read the caption is disbelief. He was not arrested and he was not going to court! He yelled to his parents. His parents were shocked. The picture was sent from Gashmail. Theo's parents asked him what Gashmail was and he explained that it was a sketchy site where anonymous emails are started. Theo told his parents that everyone has probably seen it and someone is really out to get him. His dad tired to calm him down as he was sitting at the counter rubbing his temples. His dad told him that this can be explained and that he can tell all of his friends that he wasn't arrested and that he did not need to go to court. Theo got really upset and explained to his dad that is was easy to say because he wasn't the one having to face all the kids at school that now thought that he was guilty.

The accused

             There was a photo going around that everyone had seen. The picture was of Theo, Ike, and Mr. and Mrs. Boone coming out of the Police station, all with sad and down faces. The caption of this photo said "Theo Boone age 13 leaves the police station with his parents after being arrested Tuesday night break in at the well known computer store. he is to appear in Juvenile court next week." Theo and his family did not know about this yet. As always on Wednesdays they ordered Chinese food. They were sitting on the couch watching TV. Theo was thinking about how these last few weeks have been going and how it could not get any worse. Mrs. Boone was not eating that much and Mr. Boone was just in his own world.
             Theo then got a text from April telling him to check his email ASAP.

the accused

Theo tried to study in his office but just couldn't concentrate. The window was replaced and the glass was removed but Theo could still picture the rock flying through the window and the glass flying everywhere. He felt weird and could almost picture it, like it was in a dream. He had pictured this right before he got called down to the office and the police ruined his day. The sound of footsteps running away like something bad had just happened or they were making a sneaky escape. The couldn't do his homework and Judge, his dog almost seemed a little jumpy. Theo stopped with his homework and looked out the new window. he could picture the person running away. Theo wishes more than anything he could have seen them running away. He wants to know if it's an adult or child, male or female. Theo also wanted to know if he belonged to a gang or if he was alone on all of this.

The accused

When Mr. Boone explained what he thought had happened the deceives just looked at him. They made a smart comment about how he should have been a detective and Mr. Boone says they need to see the obvious that Theo is not a suspect but he is a victim. The detectives said that they were not calling a theo. They asked what Theo's roll was as of now and he said that he was free to go and they would not arrest him in the middle of the night. They said they were unsure if Theo was telling the truth but it sounded pretty believable. They said this was part of their investigation and they may need to call him back to chat but they weren't sure. Theo questioned them, asking why they didn't believe him. They said they did not say they didn't believe them. Theo accepted this answer but was not pleased with it. The detectives thanked them for coming and they went back to the Boone and Boone office.

the accused

Theo also explained his run in with officer Stu Peckinpaw. He was sure to tell them he had never been in Big Mac's store and he was not there the night of the break in. Once the camera was off and everything was more relaxed the detective said they were going to hold off on Theo's fingerprints because there were non e to be found on the tablets. Whoever did it was being very careful and most likely wore gloves. Mr. Boone had asked if they had tracked the private phone call that had reported Theo. The officer said that it was from a payphone by the hospital. The call was made around 9:00 a.m. Mr. Boone explained that whoever did it put the tablets in Theo's locker in first period and when the job was done ran to the pay phone by the hospital  or notified someone to call and report Theo.

the accused

Theo, his parents, and Ike went to the police station around 4:00 p.m. Theo assured everyone he had nothing to hide and he was no part in the stolen goods. He started by telling them about the first day when he opened his locker and there were missing goods. He had not told his parents because he simply had not had the time or opportunity. He explained the rock that had gone though his office window. The next day he went to school, got to homeroom a few minuets as always after he had stopped at his locker as always. He was certain that there was no tablets in there because he inspects his locker more than usual because of the stolen items. He didn't notice anything weird or anyone he didn't recognize or any kid from another class. The deceives were recording all of Theo's story. Thoe's parents were still irritated that they would question him like this.

the accused

Theo called his mother and as soon as she got involved things changed dramatically. She was very mad that the police questioned Theo without any parent there. The principal assured her that Theo handled himself very well and she needs not to worry. Mrs. Boone wanted to go to the police station but the principal advised that it would be best if she waited. She wanted Theo to tell his mother about the rater eventful week he had. He told he about the stolen items, the slashed tires and of course she knew about the rock coming through the window at the office. when classes were over the detectives took some of Theo's friends, and locker buddies and asked them a few questions. They asked if they had seen anything or anyone out of the ordinary and they said they hadn't. One of Theo's friends remembered bumping into Theo at his locker and did not recal him removing any electronics from his backpack.

The accused

Ike was wondering why Theo was calling so early and during school. Theo explained and asked for Ike to come down. Theo didn't reply but the line went dead. The officers asked Theo if he didn't  put the computers in his locker who else would have his passcode. Theo explained about the other day when his twins cap and a few notebooks were missing and they asked him why he did not report it. He told them he was going to talk to his parents but he never got the time. The only way someone would have gotten Theo's passcode would be if they broke into the schools main computer. There had been no report of a hack. No one else had reported a break in to their locker and it looked like who was the only one. There had been many other things stolen from Big Mac's last night and the officers asked theo is he had any idea where they were. Theo was starting to get mad told them again that he had no idea because he did not break in. He wanted to talk to a lawyer and his parents. The officers told him to cooperate and he told him that he was cooperating and he was telling the truth. 

The accused

Theo knew better than to let them search his locker. Theo knew he had nothing to hide. He hesitate at first and and then agreed to the search. Theo was at his locker just a few hours ago and explained there was nothing unusual. Theo opened his locker for the officers and there were three Link 0-4 tablets in his locker. Theo was shocked and he explained to the officers they were not his! They had called the owner of Big Mac to identify the items. Theo wanted them to call his mother before that asked any other questions. The principal was on Theo's side and believe he didn't steal them. Theo was curious to how they found out that they were in his locker but the police told theo that they were the ones asking the questions not him. Both if Theo's parents were busy at work and couldn't answer the phone. So he called Ike, his uncle. 

The accused

Theo went to school the next day and he was having a much better day than the last one. Until her got called down to the office during second period. There were two detectives waiting for theo in the office. Theo recognized only one if the officers. The principal explained that both officers had a few questions for theo. They first asked if he had been down town the last night. He said he was at the shelter and they asked again if he had been down town. Theo replied with a no. Then they asked if he had run into officer stu. Theo explained he did but eveything was okay. They figured out theo had been down town in his bike. They had asked him if he knew about the break in at Big Mac's attempt and he said he heard about it in the news paper. They explained that they sell PC's, laptops, printers, etc. They asked theo if he had a laptop and he said yes. Theo was not liking these questions and he kept asking why they needed to know. They asked if he kept his laptop in his locker and he said it was in his book ad in his locker. The deceives asked to search his locker. 

The accused

The first Tuesday of every month Theo and his Boy Scout members wore their scouting shirts and their neckerchiefs. They were not allowed to wear their entire uniform because of the school dress code. He was so excited getting dressed that morning he totally forgot about the Duffey case. His mother told hi that there was no new news. Theo argued they would never find him but Mrs. Boone disagreed. Mrs. Boone saw he was wearing his scout stuff and asked when his next camping trip was. In a week from Friday Theo would be in the woods with the Boy Scout members. It was one of his favorite things to do. Theo hurried to school and when he got there, there was still much talk about Mr. Duffey. Theo listened but chose not to participate. Theo's scouts had a meeting today, it was about the trip they were going to take. They had a very strict major (head adult) and they had to watch videos on safety. When he left the meeting. He noticed his back wheel was punctured. He knew someone was out to get him. He went to gill and he said he should tell his parents. He got to the office and both of his parents were busy. The secretary was also busy do no one was they to greet theo but his dog, judge. He went to his office and he got his books out. All the sudden a rock flies through the window. Glass flew everywhere and Theo stood still so he didn't get cut by the glass. By the time he looked they had already ran away. Eveyone came rushing in ad were worried. Theo had some glass but was to cut. Me Boone called the police and try started to clean up the glass. Then, the new divorce lawer came in te office fighting with her husband. Mrs treen claims that she wants a divorce from her husband and she's taking the kids. Mr. Treen said that she was not and they needed to come home. Mrs. Treen claims that Mr. Treen abuses her and the kids. It was getting intense and Mrs. Treen spills and said Mr. Treen had a gun. Mr. Boone said he was goin to call the cops. Mrs Boone asked them to step into the private room where they would talk more there. They had a very long talk. Elsa, the secretary called the police and theo saves the rock for the police to investigate. Theo was sick of being at the office so ge went to the shelter, which they normally do on Tuesday nights. He tutored some of the boys there and then he was on his way home. He met a police man on the way home that warned him to stay off the sidewalks or else he would be ticketed. He went home ate frozen pizza. He still had to tell his parents about his vandalized locker, and two punctured tires. He decided it would be a long conversation and he would wait for a better time. Everyone in the Boone family was tired, including judge. They all wet to bed. 

The accused

Theo got to school and checked in at the front deck. Instead of being late for chemistry he went to Mr. Mounts classroom. He was at the computer. Mr Mount told him to sit down and of couse he was watching the news about Mr. Duffey. Mr. Mount told theo that he thinks in the middle of the night Mr. Duffey took off on his bike and he had an apprentice that was meeting him and they ran away getting a 6-7 hour start. He explained that, because no one knew the car or where he was it was most curtain they wouldn't find him. He said Mr. Duffey probably already has new papers and a new identity. The bell rang and he went to his locker. When he opened it up he noticed some things had been stolen. Someone broke into his locker and stole his inhaler for his asthma attcks, his twins ball cap, and two notepads. His books were still there, no one had touched those. He wasn't sure if he should change his locker pass code but if he did he would have to let administration know and he wasn't sure if he wanted to tell anyone so he just want to class. When he got to Mr. Mount's study hall everyone was still talking about the Duffey case. Theo said a few things telling everyone there was no clues about the disappearance. After school Thoe went to his locker and everything seemed to be fine. He wasn't sure if someone had his passcode or if he just forgot to lick it. When he went to go home, he noticed something else. While he was I chaining his bike he noticed his tired were slashed. It was obvious somone did it in purpose. His after had been upset a few weeks ago when tho popped a tire and he had to pay for a new one. Theo, instead of telling his parents rode down to the bike shop a few blocks away from the court house, on a flat tire. He get there and Gill, the bike shop manager said he could fix it real quick but it would cost $18. Thoe didt have that money but he promised to have it to Gill in a few weeks. He went to the court house and saw his parents as he did every day after school he checked the news and there was still nothing new. So he went to Ike's. He said to Ike what Mr. Mount told Theo about the apprentice an Duffey having a new identity. Ike thought theo was brilliant and he didn't know where he had come up with that. Mr. Boone and Mrs. Boone went invited Ike to dinner at Robilio's but he declined saying he had too much work. So the Boone's went our to dinner at 7:00 p.m. At sat where they normally sit at Robilio's. 

The accused

Mr. Duffey has been accused of killing his wife one day while he was golfing. This big murder trial was happening and the first day of trial was today. He had been to court for this before but it was called mistrial. He was supposed to stay in jail until the next trial. Me Duffey had a lot if money and he bailed himself out. The judge granted the bail saying he was sure to show up for the trial. Theo went to school that day and explained to his government class what was going on. One of the workers saw Mr. Duffey leave the golf course and walk it I his house about the time his wife was killed. Theo got excused from class to go watch this trial. He was to be back at school at 1pm. The place was packed. It was the biggest murder trial in their town in a long time. It was quarter after 9 and the trail was to start at 9am. Time passed and finally the judge came out. He asked where Duffey wa and the people said he was missing and this was the first they heard of him not being around. The crowd was shocked and the judge have them an hour to find him. The judge came back and there was no luck in finding Mr. Duffey. He again, called it a mistrial and when he was found they would decide what would happen next. He was expected to have ran away and they knew they could find him. Theo retired to school to share the news. 

Theodore Boone 8

Theo's parents did not want to let Theo skip school to attend the court case about the abduction. Theo finally convinced his parents to let him go to the case in Family Court. They let him do this only because he is so close with April and he found April. The Finemores all walked into the court house together. At first Theo thought it was good the Finemores all came together, but later he found out they all came separately, met at the front door, and walked in together. April rode her bike, her mom drove the car, and her dad walked. They get into court, Theo's mother was with them in support of April because she had temporary custody of her. Theo was also in there. The Judge came in and it was very formal. Theo likes it formal because some day he hoped to be the one that was so highly respected. The judge saw Theo and asked what he was doing there. Theo told him he was there to watch and the judge told him to go back to school. Theo had no desire to go to school and really wante to listen to this case. He went down to the cafeteria bought a root beer and when no one was looking, dropped it on the floor. He went and got the janitor. While the janitor was cleaning up he snuck into a small space near the vent right behind the judge's chair. He could hear the whole thing perfectly. The judge asked Mr. Finemore what his plans were and if he was going to quit the band and be home more often. Tom said there was a dead end in the band and they were no longer going to be playing. He planned to be home more and care for April. They asked Mrs. Finemore the same thing. She had been getting help ever since April ha gone missing. She planned to be home more as well. The judge aske Mrs. Boone what her plan was and of course she had one. She said she wanted April to be home with her parents because she felt safe when they were there. Mrs. Boone said that she would keep in touch with both of their councilors and see their progress. She said she was arranging to get April a cell phone and whenever she was in need she could call Mrs. Finemore, Theo or the office. The judge agreed this was a good plan and they were going to keep working at it. Theo snuck back out of the place he was hiding while the janitor was sleeping. He hurried to school so his parents didn't know he stayed to listen. He felt happy and had planned to meet April in the cafeteria for lunch. 

Theodore Boone 7

It was getting late and they were about half way home. Ike was having a hard time staying up. He told the kids to talk to him. First Theo and then April. This told April about how she was all over the news and they had search parties and rewards for whoever found her. She was in shock. Thoe asked about what had happened and if she knew Jack Leeper. She said she had wrote him letters because he seemed lonely. She had never met him and knew little about him. Se had feel asleep the night her father had came to get her and she heard knocking and slamming on her door. She thought it was a dream and came to realize it wasn't and was so scared. He dad tod her to go with him and he said he had talked to her mother and principal and they both said it was okay. He had lied to her and she had no idea no one knew where she was. Theo told he about the body they found in the river, and how everyone thought she was dead. They got to Theo's house very later and wen they pulled in Aprils mother was there. She ran to April and gave her a huge hug. Theo and Ike went inside. Theo said hello to his parents and detective Slater. They were all so pleased to see April. Theo's dad was curious to how Theo found April and he wanted to know all the details. Detective Slater  wanted just five minutes with April and her mother to ask a few questions. He asked if e forced her to leave or if she ever wante to run away while she was with him. She said no ad he decided it would be in civil court not criminal court. Early that morning Slater wet to get Leeper and they asked where April was one last time. He said 100 miles or so away. They told him he was a liar and she was home safe. He was to go back to California and finish his time in a more watched and guarded cell. Marcella Boone, Theo's mom, filed a petition that was accepted to be Aprils temporary guardian. Aprils father came home Monday night. No one had much to say. He was told there was a hearing in civil court Tuesday at 9:00 am.   

Theodore Boone 6

Theo and his friend case took a break from trying to find the band Pluder that April's father was a part of. They got a bite to eat and went right back to searching for any sign of Pluder or April. Chase gave a bunch of links to the frat clubs to Theo. Theo looked through hundred and hundreds of pictures and finally he sees a girl near the band wearing a twins jacket and it looked much like April. You could not see her face but her profile looked much like her. Chase and Theo both agreed it was April. They still weren't 100% sure where the band was or where they were headed. Theo called around the frat houses in North Carolina and finally a student at Kappa Theta confirmed that the band Plunder was playing there that night. Theo didn't know what to do. Chase's babysitter was expecting for Chase and Theo to come home while Chase's parents were out to dinner. He didn't want his parents to come home from dinner to not find him or chase. Theo called Ike. Ike said they were going to go find her at the frat house that night and they were leaving at 4. Chase called his mom and made up an excuse about why Him and Theo wouldn't be home. He said they were going to a movie and then a volleyball game. After both of those events were over he calle the babysitter and said that Theo's dog was sick and they were cleaning up the messes he had made in Theo's house and not to worry. Theo and Ike left around 4 prediction to get there around 10. They got to the frat house about 10:00pm and had a little trouble getting in but Ike managed. Theo found April sitting behing the band. He snuck over, touched her leg and she was in shock to see him. He grabbed her, found Ike and rushed our where they could actually hear eachother. April had no idea she was missing back home and everyone was worried sick about her. Her father had told her they would be home soon. The band manager had come out and asked what April what she was doing. Ike explained he knew her father and the would be back in soon. He left and try raced April back to the car. They started back home calling everyone on their way home. Aprils mother was the only one not to answer. Theo's mother was glad to hear they were safe and would see them shortly. When they called chase he was hiding in the backyard and his parents were about to kill him. He came out ad Ike explained to Chase's parents he shouldn't be in trouble because he was a big help. When they called April's moms house she didn't answer and this made April upset. 

Theodore Boone 5

Jack Leeper wrote a note to the jailer who gave it to the detectives saying he wanted to talk. They went to see Leeper and asked what he wanted. He wanted a deal. He said that if he could serve two years in jail only getting charged for breaking and entering, he would lead them to the girl. Their first thought was no and then they started second guessing wondering of he really knew where the girl was. Theo went to Ike's and they talked for a while. Ike thinks that Aprils dad has something to do with her missing and thinks maybe he took her and ran away with his band. Thoe was exhausted from the animal court the day before and all the stress of April. They brought everyone in the court late Friday night and the judges said no to Leeper's offer. Theo's parents were going out of town. They were not going to leave Theo alone. They thought about canceling the trip but they decided he would stay with his friend, which he really did not want to do. He was to text his mom every two hours to make sure he was okay. Theo and his friend spent their time trying to find more information about the band as Ike had told him to do. Ike gave him little information. He said they had been performing in California. Theo called every bar in the area they would be and only one person knew who they were and said they ha passed through a few days ago. He soon found out they were a frat band. This is all he knew but it was a start. They searched every college website but there was no site of the band "Plunger." Theo sent a text to his mother saying him and case were in the basement and their was an intruder. Her was joking and his mother replied with, "it's nice to hear from you. Love you"

Theodore Boone 4

As they were watching the news in the assembly, they had it on mute waiting for the news about April to start. They waited and waited but it wasn't coming on. The teacher asked Theo if the news about April was really going to come on or if it was just a rumor. Theo said he would call the police staion and ask. He stepped out into the hallway and called Ike. He didn't answer and Theo started to second guess the information he had told him. Theo's teacher came out in the hall and he pretended to be on the phone with the police. Theo didn't know what to do. He could run away, go home, hide, or go back in the auditorium and hope for a miracle. He went back inside and said they were just running late. They waited and waited finally the teacher went up in front of the screen and as she was telling the kids to go back to class a breaking news clip came on the screen. The janitor took it off mute and the entire class watched. None of the news was new to them it was just confirming what theo had said. They were most certain it wasn't April and they were waiting for the DNA results. They still did not know if April was still alive or where she was. Jack Leeper was still their main suspect. The next couple days went by and Theo is still having trouble concentrating on class when all the sudden he gets called down to the office. He couldn't think of a reason to be in trouble, he had no idea what he would be called down for. When he got in there there was a kid he did not recognize. The principal introduced him and told Theo that this boys parrot  had just been taken by the Animal Rescue. They were being taken to court and Anton needed help. Theo agreed to help and meet them at the court to be their "laywer." In animal court anyone can be the laywer or argue their case. They dod not need a real lawyer. Theo was very excited. When they got to the court the judge brought out the parrot and asked the lady who called the animal control on them. She told the judge that the bird had been flying in and disturbing the horse lessons and making the horses freak out. It would say commands and the horses would listen but that is not what the instructor wanted it to do. These people wanted the bird to be put to sleep or have it's wings cut off. Theo argued that it was not their fault and they didn't know it was doing this. Theo asked for some sort of "probation." To give them a week and if it happens again they will get it taken away. The judge then compromised and said that if the bird is seen on their property disturbing the horses they are to record it and if they do the birds wings will be removed. That was the end of the case and then the judge asked if there was any new news on April. Thoe explained he hasn't heard anything new and the judge told him he had his fingers crossed. 

Theodore Boone 3

Theo was in his office which was a small room in the court house. It looked as real as any other lawyers office but it was much smaller. Theo was in the dark thinking, sort of convincing himself the body found in the river. He could not wait for Leeper's trial. He thought that because he was such good friends with April he might get called as a witness. He could picture himself sitting at the witness stand telling all the things he knew, how scared she was and how she had been a lone a lot. The more he thought about it the more he couldn't wait. It did not look as if someone had broken in to get April so he was convinced her cousin, Jack Leeper, persuaded her to him in. The more he say and thought he remembered being friends with April for a long time. She came here for kindergarten and moved away. She came back around fourth grade and that's when they became good friends. April wasn't popular but she wasn't unpopular. She was so nice and kind hearted. One gym class Theo was having and asthma attack he sat with him on the bench explaining that we has asthma too. He started to become really sad remembering him and he looked at the picture he had hanging in his wall that she had drawn for him. There was a knock on the door and it was his father, the police wanted to talk to him. They all say in a room, him, his mom, his dad, and the two police officers. They asked him about what April might have been wearing and what he has ever bought for her like clothing. They explained that the body was very  decomposed and that they were doing a DNA test. Theo was quiet and in disbelief. Theo went to a basketball game with his friend who's parents were also lawyers, and both of their moms. Their moms took them out for the day to get their minds off of April. It was hard to have a conversation without April coming into conversation. The next day he had to go to school, there was no new news on April but his uncle Ike had called and asked for him to come over early to talk, which was unusual. When he got there his uncle went on to explain that "his people" had told him that the body is was to decomposed to be April. It was taller than April and they were almost certain it wasn't her. He asked who it was and they didn't know but he did explain the bates case in which he claimed to be missing and set a car on fire with someone else's body in it. He was trying to say it could be anyone and some people are unaccounted for so no one would know they were missing. Ike said he could spread this information because it was going to be in the news at 9. He got to school and told his first period class, pretending to be a lawyer that he really looked up to. They had an unplanned assembly just for his grade. The teachers wanted them to watch the news about their classmate April as a class. The teacher turned onto the news and they all watched together. 

Theodore Boone 2

Theo and his class mates try to return to class and carry on. The days are just not normal. Everyone is quiet and worried about where April is and if shes okay. Theo normally goes to the soccer games after school for extra credit. He went for a little and suck out to the office when his teacher was distracted. Him and his friends had planned a smaller search party with less people to hand out the flyers. As they were riding around they saw some commotion from underneath the bridge. Lost of police cars and helicopters and some ambulances. The boys got stopped by the police as they were trying to get closer to the scene. Theo's good friend brought them through the woods to a spot where they could see it perfectly but not bee seen. They had found a body in the river. Theo's mom called and he told her he had just left the soccer game and would be home soon. Before this all happened they had interviewed Jack Lepper. They asked him many questions and he asked for them to make him a deal. He wanted them to put him in a nicer jail and pay him money and he would tell them where April was. The police officers said that they would not do it and Jack said they could not force him to say another word.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        

Theodore Boone

I am reading the book Theodore Boone The Abduction. It is the second book in the series Theodore Boone. Theodore Boone wants to grow up to be a lawyer. Both of his parents are lawyers at Boone and Boone. Theo woke up really early one morning to his parents waking him up telling him the news about his friend April. She had gone missing. No one knows where she went. April had a hard life. Her parents were not always home and they were bickering most of the time. April and Theo talked almost every night before bed and they talked a lot in school too. As normal, Theo had been talking to April the night before she was missing. They said goodnight as they always had and both went to bed.  Next thing you know  Theo's parents were waking him up and rushing over to the Fennimore's house. Their house was not that nice and most parents would not let their kids go over there. This is why April did not have a lot of friends. Everyone liked April but she was hard to hangout with. April had been writing to her cousin who was in jail, He has recently escaped and he is the main suspect of the kidnapping of April. Who ever took her did not leave much time for her to bring any of her belongings she was in her favorite pajamas and she was not wearing shoes. Theo was in charge of the group of kids that got together and rode around town posting and handing out 'missing' flyers with Aprils face on them. They got in trouble by the police and were no longer allowed to hang the flyers on light posts or anything but they could hand them out to people and they had to be off the streets at seven o'clock. The suspect, Jack Leeper was spotted in the sketchy part of town, underneath the bridge. Police asked Jack where April was and he said that they would never find her. He would tell if she was dead or alive all he said was that they would never find her.
